A dog running at full speed makes no compromises. Every step is precise, every movement fluid – a perfect interplay of strength, balance and instinct. This is exactly where the development of the ergonomic ErgoMove Pro™ harness begins: with the question of how a harness can preserve this natural movement rather than restrict it.
What started as a clear idea evolved into an intensive development process lasting around two years. In collaboration with veterinarians and supported by modern measurement technology, movement patterns were analysed in detail. On the treadmill, sensors and cameras captured even the smallest changes in gait. The aim was to understand exactly how a harness needs to be designed in order to adapt to the dog’s movement – not the other way around.
The result is a biomechanical design that distributes pressure evenly while giving the dog maximum freedom of movement. With the ErgoMove Pro™, movement-adaptive magnetic buckles complement this concept: they adjust flexibly while also making the harness easier to put on in everyday use.
But however precise the data may be, what really matters is what happens out in the real world. For the ultimate field test, Ninja was chosen – a parkour dog and “Top Dog Germany 2023”. A Border Collie known for speed, precision and peak performance – and one who normally does not wear a harness. Together with his handler Dodo, himself a parkour athlete for over 20 years, the test did not take place in a lab, but right in the heart of Berlin.
The challenge was clear: full performance, without compromise. And this is exactly where the harness proved what matters. Ninja accepted it from the very first moment. No hesitation, no adjustment period. In motion, everything remained exactly as it should be: fast, precise and controlled. Jumps, changes of direction, speed – the harness stayed in the background and gave the dog the space he needed.
For Dodo, the real-world test also confirmed what the development process had already indicated: the harness does not noticeably affect his dog’s movement and fits seamlessly into the interplay between dog and handler.
The result is a complete concept that goes far beyond technical design alone. The ErgoMove Pro™ is not a product that dictates movement – it is one that supports it. Developed from data, tested in real-life conditions and made for dogs who want to move the way nature intended.
